Unions, immigrant workers and their community and political allies marched on the U.S. Capitol Wednesday to demand that Congress pass a clean DREAM Act and create a permanent legal pathway for working people with Temporary Protected Status. Thousands marched through the city’s streets, wearing their union colors, carrying signs demanding “Protect TPS” and “We Stand with DREAMERS” beneath cool blue skies, massing outside the Capitol for a rally, followed by civil disobedience.
