Thin masks, torn gloves and broken bedpans are just some of the “non-functional” hospital equipment nurses are dealing with at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. They’re organizing with NNU, and the union has been releasing a great series of brief videos on their Facebook page that explain the issues. “Once we win our union,” says RN John Doner (above), “We’ll be able to advocate for better staffing, with better protections and tools in a union contract.”
