![]() "When we fight for workers around the world, we are fighting for ourselves. It's the same battle," said former Metro Washington Council president Jos Williams at the Rochester Area Labor Federation's annual meeting Saturday in Rochester, New York. Williams, who also addressed the need for diversity in the labor movement, was introduced by Metro Council Union Cities Coordinator Chris Garlock, who is the former mobilization coordinator for the Rochester Council. After the meeting, Williams toured Rochester labor history highlights including the gravesites of abolitionist Frederick Douglass and women's suffrage leader Susan B. Anthony, guided by Jon Garlock, chair of the Council's Education Committee and Chris' dad. See more photos on the Council's Facebook page. photos by Chris Garlock/Union City Comments are closed.
