Budget Coalition Launches "Make One City Possible" Campaign

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)“The gap between the rich and the poor in DC is growing,” says the DC Fair Budget Coalition, “and safety net programs have been cut drastically when people need them the most.” The Coalition this week launched its “Make One City Possible” campaign urging the Mayor and DC Councilmembers “to invest in programs and policies that help people afford to live in their community, protect our most vulnerable residents, and tackle unemployment through smart investments in training and education.” Click here to find out more about the Coalition’s recommendations and how to get involved in the campaign.
