Ann Hoffman Appointed to Public Employee Relations Board

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)NWU-DC Treasurer Ann Hoffman (left), who
was recently re-elected first vice president of
the National Writers Union (NWU), has been
appointed to the District of Columbia Public
Employee Relations Board (PERB). DC PERB is the
five-member quasi-judicial independent agency
that resolves labor-management disputes between
agencies of the District government and labor
organizations representing agency employees. It
is the equivalent of the National Labor
Relations Board for District of Columbia
workers. Hoffman was appointed in May by DC
Mayor Vincent Gray and confirmed by the DC
Council. She previously served on PERB from
2004 to 2008.
