Thank a Worker Today
Wednesday, August 22, 2012
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)From Metro workers to supermarket clerks, cops
on the corner and the janitors who clean our
offices, workers make the world run. This Labor
Day, take a moment to show your appreciation by
giving a “Thank You” card to a worker and
then sharing that appreciation with us. It’s
easy! Just click
here to download a cool Labor Day “Thank
You” card from the AFL-CIO, print it out and
give it to a worker, snap a photo of the worker
with the card and then email it to us at streetheat@dclabor.org
or share it with us at @DClabor
on Twitter or Facebook.
“Whether it is the UFCW 400 member who rings
up your Labor Day BBQ groceries, the ATU 689
station manager when you get on the Metro, or
your child’s WTU teacher” says Metro
Council President Jos Williams, “Labor Day is
a chance to appreciate the hard work that makes
the DC metro area great.”
