IAFF 36's Ed Smith & DC Labor FilmFest Host "Detropia" Screening Tonight

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)IAFF Local 36 President Ed Smith and the DC Labor FilmFest are co-hosting a special screening tonight of “Detropia”, the new documentary that “tells the story of one city in economic decay,” according to Indiewire. “This isn't just a Detroit problem; it's an American problem" writes Indiewire’s Tambay A. Obenson, and The New Yorker’s David Denby calls "Detropia" "the most moving documentary I have seen in years.” The film has been screening all week and tonight’s 7p show will feature a brief talk-back with IAFF Local 36’s Ed Smith after the film (Lo. 36 is also co-presenting “Burn” during next month’s DC Labor FilmFest).
