Trumka on the DC Labor FilmFest
Tuesday, October 16, 2012
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)“Art
can certainly bring alive the struggles of the
past,” said AFL-CIO President Richard L.
Trumka last Friday, introducing the screening
of “We Are Wisconsin” at the
AFL-CIO. “By witnessing the stories of those
struggles, we can learn from them. We can
imagine similar transformations today.”
The Labor
FilmFest – which Trumka called an
“absolutely wonderful film festival” –
continues through Thursday
night; click
