Iron 5's Martin Wins Top Labor Award

Workers Local 5 Business Manager Kendall Martin
heads up the 2012 Evening With
Labor Award winners, winning the JC Turner
Award “for his extensive support of
Metro Council and Community Service Agency
events,” said Council President Jos
Williams. “Kendall can always be counted on
to be there with funds, bodies,
whatever it takes.” An active Council
Board member, Martin and his local
also participate in COPE and political
activities. Other award-winners include
the MD COPE Legislator Scorecard Committee
(COPE Award), Laborers Local 657
(Organizing Award), UFCW 1994/MCGEO (Golden
Picket Award), and Ann Hoffman, NWU
(Thomas M. Bradley Community Services Award).
The 36th annual Evening with Labor is set
for March 16; to reserve tickets
and ad space in the program book -- $150 each
for tickets, tables of ten $1,500
each, full page ad $500, half page ad $250,
quarter page ad $125, business card
