Labor Rallies 'Round Norton

Local labor supporters will host a reception and fundraiser for US Congressmember Eleanor Holmes Norton on Thursday, May 22. "Congressmember Norton has been an exceptional advocate for DC's working families," says Metro Council President Jos Williams. "Her work has brought DC billions of dollars in economic development with jobs and training opportunities." The reception will be held from 5:30-7:30P at the National Democratic Club Townhouse and will feature food, drinks and a live jazz band. Minimum contribution is $100. The event is sponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO, the Laborers District Council, Baltimore/Washington DC, and the UNITE HERE Mid-Atlantic Regional Joint Board and is being coordinated by Gerard M.
