Harrison Wins Big in Prince
George's Special Election:
Labor-endorsed candidate Andrea Harrison won an
overwhelming victory in Tuesday's Prince
George's County Council special election.
“The labor community is happy to have her on
the County Council and we look forward to
working with her on a working family agenda,”
says Metro Council President Jos Williams.
Harrison received the Metro Labor Council's
endorsement last month (Harrison
Gets Labor Nod in Prince George's 5th
5/5/08 UC). Harrison - who will fill the 5th
District Council seat vacated by David
Harrington - "captured more than 86 percent of
the vote," reported Rosalind Helderman in Wednesday's
Washington Post.
