Council Endorses Paul Strauss for DC Shadow Senator

The Metro Washington Council, AFL-CIO has endorsed Paul Strauss for Shadow Senator in the upcoming DC Democratic Primary on September 9. "Paul started out as a union organizer then went back to school to become a lawyer and now he represents workers in unions for UNITE HERE, Local 25," said Metro Council President Jos Williams. "Paul brings union values to his job as one of two US elected officials lobbying for statehood for the District of Columbia," Williams added. Strauss has served two terms as the District's Shadow Senator.
