“Prince George's
County has the highest number of foreclosures
in the State of Maryland,” reports the
Community Services Agency (CSA). “With
foreclosure rates escalating, many people are
facing the prospect of losing their home for
the first time. The process can be complicated,
and there are more options than you might
think.” Published by The Prince George’s
Community Foundation in collaboration with the
Coalition for Homeownership Preservation in
Prince George’s County, Keeping Your Home: A
Guide to Foreclosure Prevention and Assistance
in Prince George's County, MD, outlines simple
steps that homeowners can take to help save
their homes. “Keeping Your Home includes
vital information to help homeowners find
emergency financial assistance and protect
themselves from mortgage fraud and
foreclosure-rescue scams,” CSA Executive
Director Kathleen McKirchy tells Union City. In
developing the guide, members of the Coalition
for Homeownership Prevention in Prince George's
County provided expertise on topics such as the
foreclosure process, lender options, rescue
scams, and counseling resources. Click
