Immediate financial assistance is just a click away for laid-off workers who are struggling just to make ends meet. The new Union Plus Job Loss Grant offers $250 to qualified union members who have been continuously unemployed for 90 days or more due to an involuntary layoff. “So far 132 union members have received a total of $32,000 in grants,” says Union Privilege’s Communications Manager Jennifer Wright Dorr, “but we’d like to assist hundreds more!” You are eligible for the $250 grant if you have held a Union Plus Credit Card for a least one year and have had a job loss within the last six months. The job loss grant is part of a $3million program from Union Plus, designed to help union members struggling financially in today’s economic crisis.
