JUFJ's "Thinking Jewishly": Gray Confirmed for Seder

Monday, March 29, 2010

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

DC City Council Chairman Vincent Gray (r) has agreed to speak at this year's Labor Seder, making this an important opportunity to weigh in with a key decision-maker about the importance of preserving the safety net in DC's budget. There’s still time to reserve your space at the Seder, scheduled for Sunday April 11th, 6:30p at Adas Israel Congregation. Register here, become a sponsor here and sign up to volunteer here. We’re especially looking for volunteers to help with the children's program, loan us (or ask other organizations to loan us) large quantities of cloth napkins, water pitchers, vases, or plants and flowers for decorations, and for volunteers with Costco or Takoma/Silver Spring Co-op memberships who could pick up a few items. Please email rabbi@jufj.org if you can help provide any of these specific items or services. - Robin Metalitz, Jews United For Justice; photo: Chairman Gray at this year's Evening With Labor; photo by Bill Burke/Page One
