Last Call For Jobs With Justice "I'll Be There" Award Sponsors

The deadline to submit ads for DC Jobs with Justice’s annual “I’ll Be There” Awards – scheduled for June 23 at the AFL-CIO – is 5P this Friday, June 10. “We hope you will consider attending this event and supporting it by purchasing an ad in our program book,” says DC JwJ’s Lillian Walker Shelton. This year’s honorees include local musician and activist Head Roc; members of UFCW who were active in the Walmart RespectDC campaign; Sarahi Uribe (National Day Laborer Organizing Network); and the University of Maryland Drop Daycon coalition. The annual awards ceremony honors individuals and organizations for “exceptional solidarity work in the Metro DC area” while raising funds to support DC JwJ.
