Furloughed FAA Workers to Get Back Pay

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Federal Aviation Administration workers furloughed earlier this year (4,000 FAA Workers Furloughed 7/22 UC) learned Friday that they’ll receive back pay for the two weeks they were out of work. “I am glad to see that FAA employees who were furloughed will finally be receiving back pay,” said Carl Goldman, Executive Director of AFSCME Council 26, which represents the workers. “Federal workers will have to keep fighting over the coming months against a tidal wave of attacks against their pay, benefits, job security and programs.”
