today with screenings of Inside Job,
The Company
Men, The Whistleblower and Moon. Inside Job
(2:30p) is a true-life heist movie that exposes
the shocking truth behind the economic crisis
of 2008. Ben Affleck stars in The Company
Men (5p) as a victim of corporate
downsizing, and in The Whistleblower (7:30p),
Rachel Weisz stars as a Nebraska cop who takes
a job working as a peacekeeper in post-war
Bosnia and stumbles into the sordid world of
Balkan sex trafficking and finds her fellow
U.N. peacekeepers implicated in the trade. The
evening finishes up with a showing of Moon
(9:15p), this week’s City Paper pick, starring Sam
Rockwell as an astronaut miner with serious
contract issues. The FilmFest continues
tomorrow with a second screening of Moon (3p),
Made in
Dagenham (5:05) and Up in the
Air (7:25p).
