Washington Worker's Walking Tour
Tuesday, October 25, 2011
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)From the Labor Hall of Fame to Joe Hill's
ashes, worker's history is around just about
every corner in the nation’s capital. This
Saturday this history will come to life in a
Worker’s Walking Tour of downtown DC. This
2-hour walking tour reveals labor's
often-untold story of protest and resistance
and will benefit DC Jobs With Justice, a
non-profit ” dedicated to protecting the
rights of working people and supporting
community struggles to build a more just
society.” Metro Washington Council Union
Cities Coordinator Chris Garlock (pictured at
right) – who spends his days helping
local and national activists make history on
DC's streets – will lead the tour. Click
