Robin Hood Comes to DC
Friday, October 28, 2011
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The “Robin Hood” tax – a 1% financial
transaction tax designed to take small change
from bankers to support those in need – is
the starring attraction of tomorrow’s Occupy
DC action. The local event is one of many
planned around the globe to spread the word
about the Robin Hood tax. Occupy DC will march
from McPherson Square at 2p and head to the
Treasury and Bank of America, where there will
be a creative action and teach-in on the tax.
Ben Kingsley appears in a very funny UK video
about the Robin Hood tax; check it out here
and see another great one here.
