Help CSA Support Workers in Need

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)When "N" was diagnosed with breast cancer and
had her hours cut at the grocery store, she
turned to the Community Services Agency (CSA)
for help as she fell behind on her rent. “I
want to thank you and the Agency for your acts
of kindness and help” "N" wrote in a letter
to Kathleen McKirchy, Executive Director of
CSA. “I want to thank CSA United Way/CFC.”
Thanks to CSA, Nancy is caught up on her rent
and responding to breast cancer treatment.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for
all your help,” she wrote. Contributions from
individuals and locals enable CSA to help
people like "N" and there are many
ways to give including the United Way, DC
One Fund, or Combined Federal Campaign.
November 9 is the first “Give to the Max
Day” – a one-day fundraiser for nonprofits
serving DC, Maryland, and Virginia. To give to
CSA on November 9: click
here, select “find a Participating
Non-Profit,” and search for “Community
Services Agency.” Monetary prizes will be
given to the charities that raise the most
funds on November 9th, helping organizations
like CSA reach even more people in need.
Give-to-the-MAX Day is supported by United Way,
National Capital Area, The Community Foundation
of the National Capital Region, and Razoo.
