IBEW 26 Apprentices Give Back to Community

Local 26’s Apprenticeship Club, it’s also a
way to give back to the community. Last August,
eight members of the club volunteered their
time and skill to work on a housing development
in DC's Ward 5 with Habitat for Humanity. The
group worked on three townhouses in the Ivy
City neighborhood, one of the most economically
challenged areas of the city. Apprentices spent
the day framing out the future homes and
installing windows, siding and stairways. The
union says it's "proud to see the apprentices
carrying on their tradition of giving back to
