DSA Hosts Justice & Jobs Discussion

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Rep. John Conyers (D., MI), founding member of Congressional Black Caucus, and SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Eliseo Medina head up a discussion tonight on “Economic Justice and Good Jobs For All: A Progressive Vision” at 7p. The event is part of the Democratic Socialists of America’s (DSA) national convention and new DSA Director Maria Svart will moderate, with an introduction by Metro Washington Council, AFL-CIO President Jos Williams. “To achieve a more just society,” says DSA, “many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.”
