After the DC City Council cut over half of United Medical Center’s funding, members of the DC Health Justice Coalition organized and temporarily won additional funding, “but we need to win more,” says DCNA’s Wala Blegay.
The Coalition is urging DC residents to testify for more funding for the only hospital East of the river at this Friday’s DC City Council Committee on Health Hearing.
