Broadcast on WPFW 89.3FM.
Hosted Chris Garlock and Ed Smith. DC’s call-in show about worker rights: those you have, those you don’t, how to get them and how to use them. On today’s show: Did working people win this week’s Democratic debates? The AFL-CIO says that “Coming out of the second Democratic debate in Detroit, one thing is clear: working people won these debates. All too often, politicians treat labor issues as a passing talking point. But the past two nights, workers were a constant theme on the debate stage: candidates shared plans to increase union membership and tackle unfair trade deals, and touted their family union membership with pride.” AFL-CIO President Trumka kick-started the first night by addressing the crowd from the stage, "reminding everyone what and who we are fighting for." Lines are open for your calls on your rights at work: 202-588-0893. Plus: latest labor news with PAI's Mark Gruenberg and Which Side Are You On? with Pete Seeger and Billy Bragg.
