The occasion was the Community Services Agency's 24th annual golf tournament on Monday, dubbed "a great success" by CSA Executive Director Sonte DuCote. MWC treasurer Eric Bunn welcomed nearly 100 golfers to the Enterprise Golf Course -- whose workers are members of MCGEO UFCW Local 1994 -- saying that "the tournament is one of the ways that the Council and CSA work to help members facing economic hardship." The annual tournament raises money for CSA's Emergency Assistance Fund. "Without the enthusiastic support of our sponsors and locals -- and of course our Golf Committee-- CSA could not do our work to improve the lives of workers in the metro Washington area," said DuCote. "We owe a huge thanks to all who helped to make the tournament a success." photo: SEIU 722's teams; more photos are posted here. photo by Chris Garlock “There is work that profits children, and there is work that brings profit only to employers. The object of employing children is not to train them, but to get high profits from their work.”
