First – and easiest – shop at local union supermarkets like Giant, Safeway and Shoppers, whose workers are members of UFCW Local 400. There are a few other unionized grocery stores locally; the complete list is on our website. To find out whether specific products are union – Butterball turkeys and hams, or Charles Krug wines, for example – we’ve posted a Union Made Thanksgiving list on our website that you can download and print out. You can also check out the Union Label and Labor 411 apps in the App Store, which include thousands of union products and services. They’re also online at unionlabel.org and labor411.org Buying union-made supports good jobs. America is at its best when we say and shop UNION YES!

Thanksgiving is one of the two biggest holidays of the year. For many people, it is a time to spend with family and friends. But a few retail chains want to turn it into another shopping day instead. Saying that "Enough is enough," Labor 411 says it will not support any of these chains. "Instead we will vote with our wallets and refuse to shop on this day. And we hope that many Americans choose to do the same." The Dirty Dozen are: Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, DSW, Gamestop, JC Penney, Kmart, Macy's, New York and Company, Old Navy, Sears, Target, Walmart.
