Metro Washington Labor Council president Dyana Forester (at left in photo) was among those hitting the doors for Prince George’s County Council candidate Edward Burroughs III over the holidays. “Ed has been a long-time supporter of union labor and a fierce advocate for creating union labor jobs in the county,” said Forester as she door-knocked on Christmas Eve. Labor’s effort to elect Burroughs included knocking on doors in District 8 and phone banking, with various MWC affiliates sponsored phone banks and canvasses. With thousands of union voters in the district, the Metro Labor Council is working hard to activate the membership to mail in their ballots and turn out to the polls on Tuesday, January 4th.
