The Poor People’s Campaign’s “40 Days of Moral Action” launches today with a 2pm U.S. Capitol rally focused on children, women and people with disabilities in poverty. Local unions participating include Unite Here 23, 32BJ SEIU, ATU 689, UFCW 400 and AFGE 12. There will also be nonviolent direct action, and training is available for those interested in participating, starting at 10a at St. Marks Episcopal Church (301 A St SE). Marshals are also needed; if interested, show up at 10a at St Marks. All events will be live-streamed on the Campaign’s Facebook page.
