On Monday, March 9, union members from across Maryland and DC will rally at the Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis for the Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO's Union Night. Wear your union gear. Bring your crew. Let’s show lawmakers what solidarity looks like.


Celebrating Women's History Month and
Women in Construction Week

March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor the trailblazing women who have fought for workers’ rights, dignity and respect in the workplace, and are standing up for working people today at the bargaining table, in the streets and in the halls of power. And during #WomenInConstructionWeek in particular, we recognize the contributions of women in the construction trades who help power industries across our region.

Workers at The Duck & The Peach get ready to vote

Workers at Eastern Point Collective, the restaurant group which includes The Duck & The Peach, are getting ready to VOTE YES to a union with UNITE HERE Local 25. Stokely is voting yes because "respect and stability isn't something I should beg for!"


Climbing workers begin union effort

On the up! Congrats to the Climbing Gym Workers in Timonium, MD, who made it known to management that are unionizing with Workers United MARJB. They join 1000+ Climbing Workers nationwide who are unionizing with Workers United!


IRS rescinds collective bargaining agreement with its largest union

The IRS is rescinding its collective bargaining agreement with NTEU, its largest union, as part of the Trump administration’s wider rollback of union representation across the federal workforce. The agency said in a statement Friday that it “has now terminated its collective bargaining agreement” with the union, in line with a March 2025 executive order that eliminated collective bargaining rights at more than 20 agencies.
