On Saturday union members from across our region together with DC residents, immigrant justice advocates, and our allies took to the streets of DC to make it clear we are united against Trump's occupation of DC and we demand it end immediately.

Every day that this occupation is in place is a threat to workers in our region. We should not be profiled, harassed, and detained on our way to work or on the job. We should not have armed soldiers in our neighborhoods, and we should not be worried about being kidnapped under cover of night. That's not safety.

On Saturday, the DC region's union members made it clear We Are All DC. Thank you to our Affiliates UNITE HERE Local 25, UNITE HERE Local 23, 32BJ SEIU, National Nurses United, ATU Local 689, and the Washington Teachers' Union as well as UNITE HERE Locals 24 and 100, SEIU Local 500, SEIU international  our statewide federation the Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO for being part of Saturday's massive event.
