COMMUNITY SERVICES

The only labor-sponsored charitable organization in the metro area, the CSA not only assists workers in their time of need, but also works to harness and share the generosity of the local labor movement as we work to make our communities better places to live. 

POLITICAL ACTION

Coordinates lobbying and legislative activities at the DC City Council, the Montgomery County Council, the Prince George’s County Council, and the County Commissions in Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties. The Labor Council also works directly with the Maryland State & DC AFL-CIO during the Maryland General Assembly, promoting labor interests. 

UNEMPLOYMENT HELP

Free legal counseling service available to individuals who file unemployment compensation appeals in the District of Columbia.
