Hundreds of union members from across Maryland rallied in Annapolis on Monday in support of policies to give workers more power on the job. Learn more » NALC members join U.S. Representatives for introduction of the Protect Our Letter Carriers ActEarlier today lawmakers in Congress introduced legislation to provide more protection for letter carriers on the job, following a nearly 30% increase in the number of robberies last year. “We learn almost every day of an incident of violence against the letter carrier, targeted robberies, assaults and even murder have become part of our job,” said Brian Renfroe, president of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). Read more » AFSCME Maryland and State of Maryland Sign New 3-Year Agreement for State EmployeesAFSCME Maryland Council 3 members and leaders attended a signing ceremony with Governor Wes Moore to finalize a new three-year contract for state workers represented by AFSCME. This signing represents the final step to formalize the contract after over 99% of eligible state employees represented by AFSCME voted in favor of ratifying the agreement in a mail ballot vote.
