The AFL-CIO is urging support for the Community Services Agency of the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO’s 2015 Holiday Food Drive. “Your donations of non-perishable food, baby care items, or union grocery store gift cards (Giant, Safeway, or Shoppers) will help our local union brothers and sisters in need this holiday season,” the labor federation said. Donations of food and baby care items can be placed in the bin located outside the kitchen at the AFL-CIO’s 16th Street headquarters. Gift card donations should be taken to the AFL-CIO Human Resources Department. Donations will be accepted through December 16.
