Amid Public Pressure, Kroger Agrees to Extend Contract

Kroger on Friday formally agreed to extend the current contract covering members of UFCW 400 through Saturday, June 4. The extension came after news broke that Kroger's CEO got a 17% raise last year to $11.2 million, provoking Local 400 to call the company's most recent offers of a .25 raise "an insult to those of us who work hard every day to make them successful."
