The Amalgamated Transit Union and Rep. Jamie Raskin are hosting Shutdown Suppers at the ATU’s Tommy Douglas Conference Center Monday-Friday this week from 12-6p. Workers only need to bring their federal employee identification card to receive a free meal for them and their family. “All are welcome who have been impacted by this unfortunate shutdown,” said ATU International President Larry Hanley. “The labor movement is reminding us of the kind of solidarity and community that America really stands for,” said Congressman Raskin. “Let all who are hungry from this Shutdown and Lockout come eat!”
