The DC COPE will convene a special evening discussion on Monday, May 8 with DC Councilmember Elissa Silverman, Chair of the Labor and Workforce Development Committee. "Elissa has been a true champion for working families and underserved communities," says David Dzidzienyo, Director of Legislative/Political Affairs for the Metro Washington Council, AFL-CIO. The discussion will provide a better understanding on how the Labor and Workforce Development Committee is structured, what impact the committee has on labor and their initiatives and how to best utilize the Labor and Workforce Development Committee.
