![]() Despite the gridlock dominating Congress, some leaders are keeping up the fight to protect workers and their communities. US Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) will report tonight (see Calendar) at Georgetown on the current battles for women, healthcare, and labor, including a recent victory protecting restaurant workers from wage theft. DeLauro has spent her nearly three decades in Congress championing workers by fighting for a $15 minimum wage, paid sick leave, paid family leave, and equal pay for equal work. The event is hosted by the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor. photo: DeLauro speaking at an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the FMLA; credit: Shawn T.
