![]() Doesn't look like tensions will be cutanytime soon at Dimensions Healthcare System in Prince George’s County. A letter sent from the system last month made nurses "confused and concerned" as to whether they had lost contract protection altogether, SEIU 1199 officials said recently. That letter referred to the “expired contract” in referencing the change the health system is seeking in its shift cancellation policy for nurses, which caused the alarm. In fact, while it is technically "expired," that contract is still in effect until the health system and the union are able to agree on a new contract. Dimensions officials and union representatives head back to the bargaining table this month regarding the long-disputed contract with employees. - Washington Business Journal; read more here: Dimensions Caregivers Stand Firm for Staff Staffing, No Take-Backs, and Fair Wages photo courtesy SEIU 1199 Comments are closed.
