![]() Larry Scanlon, AFSCME's former political director, died in a car accident Friday. Mourning the loss, AFSCME President Lee Saunders' called Scanlon “The ‘big dog’ of kindness and generosity,” adding that Scanlon “viewed his work with AFSCME members not as a job, but as a calling. And he helped make AFSCME what it is today – a union with an uncompromising mission to give workers a voice. Larry's passion, friendship, and mentorship will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Scanlon family.” Democracy Partners Co-Founder Mike Lux called Scanlon "A Progressive Battler" in The Huffington Post. photo by Chris Garlock Comments are closed.
