![]() Clear skies shone on more than 80 volunteers from 20 different international unions last Saturday as they knocked on doors and welcomed voters to "absentee in person" voting stations across Northern Virginia. "We had labor volunteers in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County, Manassas and Winchester preaching the gospel on NO ON 1! to keep Right-to -Work out of the state constitution," reported NoVA Labor President Dan Duncan. Volunteers were decked out in a variety of Clinton-Kaine shirts and buttons to show their union pride. Painters Council 51 provided lunch for all. Phonebanks and walks continue daily through Election Day, both at NoVA Labor and at the AFL-CIO; see Calendar for details. photo: Kitty Hagarty of AFGE calls a union household in Northern Virginia to vote for Clinton-Kaine and NO ON 1!
