![]() Scholars, labor practitioners, and activists from across the country are convening in DC June 8-9 at the 2017 Labor Research and Action Network (LRAN) national conference to share new ideas and lessons learned, and connect around research and campaign work. Organizers “hope this conference is an opportunity to develop an offensive strategy in the changed political climate, at a moment of backlash against advancements we’ve been making over 50 years.” Featured speakers include Metro Washington Council president Jackie Jeter, National Education Association Secretary-Treasurer Princess Moss and Carmen Perez, Executive Director, The Gathering for Justice and one of the founders of the Women's March on Washington. Plenaries will also focus on "Building Worker Power Under a Trump Administration" and "Messaging to Win." The conference will be held at Howard University. Info and registration here.
