As the Verizon strike approaches its fourth week, local activists are ramping up the pressure on the telecom giant to settle a fair contract. CWA headquarters staff will join the picket line at the L Street Verizon Wireless store today at 5p, SEIU 32BJ is turning their members and staff out from 12-1p on Wednesday, also at the L Street location, and plans are underway for a massive Verizon National Day of Action on Thursday; we’ll have updates on local details soon.
