![]() After a yearlong battle, state child welfare workers in Maryland have won fair compensation. “This would not have been possible without AFSCME Local 112 and is a reminder that when we stand and fight together, we WIN!” said AFSCME Maryland. Local 112 met with legislators, marched against management and “tirelessly” battled for increasing the salaries for Child Welfare Social Workers. “The fight for fair pay for all social workers and state employees continues!” added AFSCME Maryland.
