The Metro Washington Council’s endorsement process for the District of Columbia City Council candidates in the November General Election has officially begun. Last week, all of the official at-large candidates, as well as those running in Wards 2 & 7 (Wards 4 and 8 were endorsed during the primary) received their candidate questionnaires and will have until September 9 to return them. Their returned questionnaires will serve as their RSVP for candidate interviews that will be held on September 16. “DC COPE is excited to review and screen the candidates in all of these very important council seats and we look forward to supporting and electing great candidates who will vocally support labor unions and champion legislation that protect and raise the quality of life for working people,” said MWC Political and Legislative director David Stephen
