Registration is now open for the National Organizers Workshop in Washington, DC on March 6th and 7th. A "can't miss" workshop, it will include organizers from across the labor movement and from allied groups who are engaged in issues that affect working families. "It's a great chance to talk shop and dream big with the best organizers in the country," says the AFL-CIO's Organizing Institute, which is hosting the workshop. Sign up now and receive an early registration discount – just $65 for a "vital, interactive event focused on how we can build power for working people."
The National Organizers Workshop is convened by the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute, in collaboration with sponsoring unions. "We’re also teaming up with organizers from workers’ centers, immigrant rights coalitions, and student, community and civil rights groups – because building power for workers requires a broad, inclusive movement," say workshop organizers.
"Don’t expect long speeches, crowded plenaries, or passive listening. This will be a working session for working organizers. We’ll dissect campaigns, share our experiences, figure out what works, and determine how we can make a difference."
Sign up today for the discounted $65 early registration. Workshop sessions will start at 1 pm on Friday, March 6th and wrap up on Saturday at 4 pm. Registration includes all conference materials, the Organizing Institute 25th anniversary celebration on Friday night and lunch on Saturday afternoon.
