About a dozen trade unionists and their families marched behind the NoVA Labor banner during the annual Martin Luther King Day parade in Leesburg, VA, on Monday. The group -- which included members from CWA, IAFF, NEA, SIU and UA -- were part of the approximately 500 who pay tribute to the legacy of Dr. King through a march followed by a program at the Douglas Community Center. "NoVA Labor has been honored to march with friends and allies in Leesburg for a decade," noted NoVA Labor President Daniel Duncan. "It is a wonderful experience." Union members passed out signs reading "All Work Has Dignity" with Dr. King's image prior to the start of the parade.
