![]() Precinct walks resume tomorrow at the NoVA Labor office in Annandale. “We will be joined by four union members who are running for office,” reports NoVA Labor’s Dan Duncan. On hand will be Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Kincaid (SEIU); Alexandria City Council candidate Willie Bailey (IAFF), Prince William County School Board candidate Justin Wilk (AFT) and Loudoun County Board of Supervisors candidate Al Nevarez (CWA). Doors open at 8:30a. “Don’t expect others to do what you should,” said Duncan. “We need full participation for these final 26 days if we are to keep Right-to-Work (for Less) off the state constitution!” On a personal note, Duncan extended thanks “to all of you for your kind words and thoughts during these rough days for my union, the Seafarers. The 28 Americans who were lost at sea when the El Faro disappeared were members of my union. I worked with at least two of the missing crew when I began with the SIU in Jacksonville in the 1980s. No matter to which union you belong, or what job you do, we all expect to come home at the end of a shift, day or trip. Please keep these brave union members and the five Polish nationals who were aboard as well in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.” Click here to read "Seafarers Pitched in on Search for Crew of Sunken Freighter El Faro." - photo: Don Cash Jr canvassing for Jeremy McPike in NoVA; photo by Mike Wilson Comments are closed.
