Nurses Lend a Hand in Ellicott City
While the flooding in Louisiana has rightfully garnered national headlines, Ellicott City continues to struggle to recover from the August 1 flash flood. The DC Nurses’ Association last week donated $500 to the United Way of Central Maryland to assist Ellicott City families in the aftermath of the tragic flood (Helping Out In Ellicott City 8/11 UC). Robin Burns, DCNA Treasurer (left), and Edward Smith, DCNA Executive Director(right), traveled to Ellicott City on August 17th to present the donation to the United Way's Kari Staddon.
