Union members at the Washington Post will picket at 12:30p today (see Calendar at right) to demand a fair contract. "We need everyone's support now more than ever," said the Washington-Baltimore News Guild bargaining committee. Off-the-record bargaining failed recently and the union's negotiators say the return to open bargaining "speaks to how unsatisfactory the Post's proposals have been."
